After a 0-2 start to their season, the Eagles have gotten back on track by winning three games in a row. A 28-23 nailbiter against Centennial, followed by a 49-21 route of Hillsboro, and capped off with a solid 34-24 win over Franklin.

The Eagles are starting to look like their old selves again, and are regaining confidence with three straight wins.

Senior defensive back Brooks Howard explains the motivation in order to get back on track as, ” We kinda figured that, the season has to go somewhere, so why not make it go somewhere good?”

After their 0-2 start, the Eagles looked very dazed and confused, because they were so used to winning the past two seasons, they looked lost. But after winning their first region contest, a sliver of light appeared in the tunnel, and the team just followed it.

The blowout of Hillsboro really contributed to Indy getting its swagger back, as the Eagles looked almost perfect besides a couple slip ups. Junior quarterback Nathan Cisco had a career game that week, after throwing for 341 yards and five touchdowns, all in the first half. He was the catalyst all night for the Indy offense.

The region win over Franklin sealed the deal as the Eagles finally obtained a winning record, and looked to have gotten their mojo back after forcing four interceptions, including two in the final two minutes.

“As in the past couple of years obviously we haven’t had the biggest teams, or even most talented, but if we keep up the effort and just listening to coach, I think the sky’s the limit.” explains Howard on if the Eagles can keep the streak going.

The Eagles have seemingly hit their stride, with the offense firing on all cylinders, and the defense looking rock solid. The team looks to continue this streak, and come back ready for Brentwood after their bye week.
