Choir not only sang splendidly, but brought home the hardware Wednesday at Middle Tennessee State University.

The IHS choirs went to MTVA Festival, which is the Middle Tennessee Vocal Association Competition, to compete for Superior which is the best in Middle Tennessee. The Chamber choir and Women’s choir both came out with Superior in sight singing and the competition and Concert choir came out with Excellence in the competition.

It was a great success for all the choirs, especially for the Concert choir as this was the first time Concert had ever gone to a competition. They did amazing going from middle school choir events to a high school choir competition.

Since all the choirs made first and second place, they will now be going on to the state competition in April. Each choir is especially excited about winning and being able to compete again later on. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the competition, and special thanks to Callie Rogers for providing percussion to enhance the Concert choir.
